Code of conduct

The purpose of this code of conduct is to ensure that all Project Pioneer events are a safe space and welcoming for all attending and participating.

In short

Project Pioneers is committed to ensure all our events are  safe and inclusive for everyone. We do not tolerate ridicule, disrespect, harassment or intimidation towards any attendees or participants whether this be in person or online events. Anyone who violates this code will be removed from the event and blocked from future events.

The detail

Project Pioneers has a zero tolerance policy regarding harassment, bullying and disrespect. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Project Pioneers reserves the right to decide what is defined as bullying and harassment and can remove and block an personnel partaking in that behaviours from events current or future. If a participant is asked to remove themselves from the facility they must do so with immediate effect.

​All participants (Attendees, sponsors and guests) must adhere to this code of conduct at all events.

What to do if you or another is being harassed or bullied?

If you or others are being harassed,  please contact a member of event staff immediately where we will deal with it as swiftly as possible whether this be escorting the harasser from the site, contacting a security or law enforcement or escorting to a safe place. We vouch that we will take each complaint seriously, treat it with the upmost importance and take appropriate action to it.
